Bird on a Branch Sewing Bag

I was asked to give a lecture and teach a beginning wool project for Mill Stream Quilters.  I designed the Bird on a Branch applique that when done could be finished into a pin cushion or eye glass case.  I turned mine into a sewing bag.  The main applique is surrounded with borders, then added ribbon and a charm.  The bag is lined and finished with a beaded zipper pull.  The Bird applique teaches basic embroidery stitches and beading.
